The Press Room, crafted in the tradition of speakeasies, is a bar and lounge tucked away inside the AC Hotel Greenville. The space has been transformed into The Cheshire’s Hideaway Bar & Lounge, a new Alice in Wonderland-themed pop-up experience.
Named for the mischievous Cheshire Cat from the cherished childhood tale and popular 2010 live-action remake, this immersive experience showcases décor taken straight out of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland, featuring themed cocktails that round out a completely magical trip of the eyes, tastebuds, and imagination.
The Cheshire’s Hideaway Bar & Lounge at The Press Room, well-known for its handcrafted, specialty cocktails, features a new limited edition drink menu, creatively curated and inspired by Alice’s adventures in Wonderland. This fun, yet sophisticated drink menu embraces tongue-in-cheek names such as “The Wrong Alice” and “Absolem the Wise”, while the delicious food menu begs you to “Eat Me”, with a selection of “Tea Time” sandwiches, “Dodo Bird” wings, and other crunchy snacks available.
This pop-up concept is located in the AC Hotel on the 2nd floor. To access it, just enter at the Juniper / Press Room elevator located in Camperdown Plaza on the side of the AC Hotel Greenville, right next to Perfect Buns.
The Press Room speakeasy has been transformed into the Cheshire’s Hideaway Bar & Lounge experience for a limited time, now through Summer 2024. Operating hours are Wed & Thu 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Fri & Sat 5:00 pm to midnight.
Entry is 21+ and walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are also available for smaller groups and can be made at OpenTable. Spots for larger parties of 8+ can be made by emailing reservations@pressroomgvl.com.
